A Family Trip to Nizwa

Last Friday, my family and I went on a trip to Nizwa. We left home early in the morning because the drive from Muscat takes about two hours.

First, we visited the old fort. We climbed to the top of the big round tower, and we could see palm trees and mountains everywhere. My little brother was a bit scared, but he held my father's hand.

Then we walked to the souq. My mother bought some dates and a small clay pot. My father bought halwa for my grandmother.

In the afternoon, we had lunch in a small restaurant and then drove home. I was tired, but it was a wonderful day.
