A good paragraph talks about ONE main idea. The topic sentence tells the reader what the paragraph is about. Supporting details explain it. The closing sentence finishes the idea, often with a feeling or opinion.

Nizwa Fort is one of the most special places in Oman. First of all, its huge round tower rises above the city, and from the top you can see green palm gardens stretching towards the brown mountains. In addition, the narrow stairs and secret doors inside make visitors feel as if they have travelled back in time. Moreover, the busy souq next to the fort is full of the smell of halwa, dates and frankincense. For these reasons, Nizwa Fort is a place that every visitor to Oman should see.
