I can ask Yes/No questions with 'be' and give short answers.

ما هي القاعدة؟

To make a question with 'be', move am / is / are to the beginning of the sentence and end with a question mark. Answer with a short answer: Yes, I am. / No, it isn't.

لتحويل الجملة إلى سؤال، ننقل am أو is أو are إلى بداية الجملة ونضع علامة استفهام (?) في النهاية. الإجابة القصيرة تكرر الفاعل والفعل فقط: Yes, I am. انتبه: لا نختصر في الإجابة المثبتة، فلا نقول Yes, I'm.

Yes, he is. / No, he isn't.
