English explanation

الشرح بالإنجليزية

An informal email is written to someone you know well: a friend, a cousin or a classmate. The tone is friendly and relaxed. We can use short forms (I'm, it's, can't), simple questions and friendly expressions. It still needs a clear order: greeting, opening, main message, closing and sign-off.

Arabic explanation

الشرح بالعربية
الرسالة غير الرسمية تُكتب لشخص تعرفه جيدًا مثل صديق أو قريب أو زميل. الأسلوب ودّي وبسيط، ويمكن استخدام الاختصارات مثل I'm وcan't. ومع ذلك يجب أن تكون مرتّبة: تحية، افتتاحية، الرسالة الرئيسة، ختام، ثم التوقيع.

نموذج

Hi Sara,

How are you? I hope you had a great weekend.

Thanks so much for lending me your book about Omani history. I finished it last night! My favourite part was the chapter about the old ports of Sohar and Qalhat. I didn't know that ships from China once stopped there.

Can I give it back to you at school on Sunday? Maybe you can borrow one of my books next time.

See you soon,

Aya
